The game is further split into lots of titles, each of which contributes to the story in its way. You can play the game on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Here are some of the best Kingdom Hearts games yet.
Kingdom Hearts 2
It is agreed by gamers all over the world that Kingdom Hearts 2 was the best game made amongst all the installments. The game had amazing mechanics and was brilliant from a story perspective as well. It showed a lot of growth as a character in Sora since the events of Kingdom Hearts 1. There were a plethora of abilities that were introduced in this game and it also introduced the “Drive Mode” which was loved by gamers the most. In this mode, Sora was able to change his modes, namely Valor Form, Wisdom Form, Master Form, and Final Form. A fifth form called Limit Form was added to Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ which offered Sora’s clothes from the first game and his battle moves as well such as Ragnarok, Ars Arcanum, Sonic Blade, and Strike Raid. Sora also eventually meets his friends and things start taking a better turn for Sora and his friends.
Birth by Sleep
Birth by Sleep was a very important installment in the series from a story perspective. The game is set 10 years before the events of Kingdom Hearts 1 and 10 years before Sora is chosen by the Keyblade. This game is set on three main characters, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus, and how all three of them are tied to Sora. This game is relatively darker than the previous Kingdom Hearts games and a bit more sinister since the rest of the games. The other games gave off a happy vibe but Birth by Sleep revolves around the idea of how three friends who have always been like family have split apart each on their journey but with a common goal of fighting the darkness. Birth by Sleep sets the plot for all the Kingdom Hearts games, which makes the game very important to play.
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
Set after the events of Kingdom Hearts 2, in this game Sora and his best friend Riku who is also a keyblade wielder, set out to learn the “power of waking”. They are sent into the dream world where they must traverse across Disney worlds and recover from slumber. This is also taken as their Mark of Mastery test to make them Keyblade masters. While Riku passes, Sora is entrapped in the dream world and Riku is sent to save him. This makes Riku a Keyblade master and we find out that the villain from Birth by Sleep, Master Xehanort, has returned after 10 years. Sora and friends now realize that the threat all along has been Xehanort and they must prepare to stop him once and for all. Eventually, the story leads up to the events of Kingdom Hearts 3. Despite Sora not being a keyblade master, the game still portrays Sora as the main protagonist; giving people hope that maybe in the future Sora might become a keyblade master. The game featured amazing changes to gameplay such as adding Flowmotion, which allowed Sora and Riku to bounce off walls and attack enemies. The game also featured characters from The World Ends With You rather than having characters from Final Fantasy this time.
In Conclusion
Kingdom Hearts is one of the best games ever made. It has an amazing storyline, which is why people who grew up playing these games absolutely love them. Playing Kingdom Hearts is no less than an experience of a lifetime. The best part is that you can play all of these titles in one title which is a collection called Kingdom Hearts All-in-one package.
