Full HP 250 G7 review
The HP 250 G7 has both a high-end notebook interior and a low-end notebook enclosure. It has a full Core i5 processor, SSD storage, and 8GB of RAM, all for less than £ 450. Most laptops weighing over 1,000 pounds have similar base specs. Here is the full review.
But can you afford the sacrifice? The hp 255 g7 Laptop review is an area without style. The trackpad is kindly described as “basic” and mostly uses a very poor TN display panel. Don’t be fooled by the good 1080p resolution.
Still, it’s still one of the best buyers in terms of practical value, especially as its lighter competitor, the Acer Swift 3, is priced at £ 679 for the same specs.
Construction project
The HP 250 G7 is a very basic laptop. The case is gray with black dots like keys and screen bezels. Not a single sheet of aluminum is visible and there is no attempt to sparkle or look beyond the price.
But if you want a premium item in this price range, you’ll have to look for a discontinued deal or pick a Chromebook. We’re glad HP has kept its design sensible and simple. All plastic panels have an embossed texture. Makes the surface more “sticky” and prevents ordinary plastic from sticking together.
However, HP does not shy away from the overall impression that it is cheap. With the HP 250 G7, you don’t bend down. There are a few, but not many. It’s about how a laptop responds to shocks and bumps. All the sounds that come out are a bit high-pitched, which makes the plastic case a bit thin or dry here.
This effect does not necessarily even occur on cheap laptops. Some Acer Chromebooks look like they were built for combat (almost likely as they tend to rely on class models).
The HP 250 G7 is a 15.6-inch laptop, so it’s no wonder it’s not particularly small or light. It weighs 1.78 kg and is 22.5 mm thick. In addition, it takes a fairly large footprint as it lacks the thin bezel that can be found on some high-end laptops.
However, over the course of several weeks of testing, I wore the HP 250 G7 in my backpack several times and it was not too heavy a burden. We prefer 13-inch and 14-inch laptops for mobile work, but feel that the work is not suitable.
Since it weighs less than 2 kg and less than 3 kg, it is not heavy for an economical 15.6 inch laptop.
Keyboard and touchpad
It’s not flashy, but it’s okay. This is the HP 250 G7. This also applies to keyboards and trackpads.
The keys produce the same high-pitched noise as the case itself, which doesn’t exactly reflect the quality. And there is some flexibility in the environment when applying pressure.
But most of the time we are happy enough to feel it. There is enough movement for each key, and if you ignore the slight void and distort the actual feedback, the resistance level and “replica” depression are fine.
