Apple Park employees evacuated due to suspicious package

CUPERTINO – Employees at Apple Park in Cupertino were evacuated Tuesday after a suspicious package containing a “bulky object” arrived at the site, according to authorities and media reports.

The Santa Clara County Fire Department’s hazardous materials response team treated the package as a “potential credible threat,” but ultimately determined it posed no threat to life or property, Battalion Chief Mike Mathiesen said in an email.

“Apple security is continuing to investigate,” he said.
